Keep-It-Simple Devo (Wk2/Day5)

Psalm 69:13-17—I keep praying to You, Lord, hoping this time You will show me favor. In Your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with Your sure salvation. 14 Rescue me from the mud; don’t let me sink any deeper! Save me from those who hate me, and pull me from these deep waters. 15 Don’t let the floods overwhelm me, or the deep waters swallow me, or the pit of death devour me. 16 Answer my prayers, O Lord, for Your unfailing love is wonderful. Take care of me, for Your mercy is so plentiful. 17 Don’t hide from Your servant; answer me quickly, for I am in deep trouble! (NIV)

What are you praying about that God doesn’t seem to be answering at this time or season of your life?

Why does God appear to make it such a vital thing of the heart to keep praying in spite of what seems like inactivity from God?

God likes when we look for Him. What do you hope you find when You see Him?

Spirit, there is a part of my life that if YOU don’t do something, it can’t be formed into the thing just the perfect way You want it. So, I pray for you to show up and reveal Yourself. When You do, I’ll follow. I love You. And for that part of the mud that I’ve brought in the dirt and life has turned it all into muck, I pray for your mercies today. I confess I am a sinner, but I am a sinner who is formed enough in Your beautiful image to know it’s something I want to see changed. Make me into You a little more today, my Lord and my friend. In Jesus’ name in pray, Amen.

  1. “What do I hope I find when I see Him?” This will be the pinnacle of my life, before and after; it’s the moment I am waiting for daily. He will be a real man. He will be undistracted, only the two of us. His eyes will penetrate me with knowledge and tenderness, much like our relationship today. He will be safe, with no condemnation. He will embrace me, and tell me, “you are precious, I delight in you, thank you for your adoration of Me all these many years — you are Home, at last, never to leave.”

  2. “What do I hope I find when I see Him?” This is will be THE culmination, pinnacle of my life, the moment I long for each day. I believe I will find a real man. HE will be solely focus, undistracted, upon me. His eyes will be tender with the love I have known on earth only in our relationship. He will be safe. I will feel known and delighted in. His eyes will penetrate mine with the depth of our relationship, saying “you are precious to me, beautiful Ann Marie thank you for your love and adoration of Me.”
