Keep-It-Simple Devo (Wk2/Day3)

EXPERIENCE GOD IN SCRIPTURE

Colossians 3:12-15—Since God chose you to be the holy people He loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. 14 Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. (NLT)

CONSIDER

Who do you need to forgive today?

How does “harmony” feel like to you when you sense you have it with another person or a group or a team? How can you foster that with someone today?

PRAY

Jesus, You forgave me by dying for me. And You did that long before I’d even ask for Your grace. Help me today to reproduce that forgiving love with someone else. And for the person I’ve made my enemy (or the one who has made me theirs), I forgive them. Lead me into a redemptive conversation with them, I pray in Jesus’ name, death, and love, Amen.

  1. Thank you, Mary! I’m humbled that it might serve you in anyway that encourages your relationship with God and your day. Share anything that lights your day up with others! It makes this site more and more possible to grow and widen the impact. Blessings, Mary.

  2. Hi John! Thank you for posting these daily devotions! I work 12 hr days, but I always have 5 minutes, and it gives me something to consider throughout the day!
